The city of Yazd is
The city of Yazd is one of the largest cities in Iran. It is located near Lout desert in the eastern part of central Iran. Yazd City is regarded as one of the driest cities of the country. Yazd is mainly well-known for the high quality of its handicrafts. In 1272, the explorer Marco Polo visited the city and remarked on the city’s fine silk weaving industry. Today, it’s one of Iran’s main industrial centers for textiles.
