Clever Pigeon Loft Trap Door Design

This is the loft trap door I made to keep cats and unwanted predators out of our loft. It is simply counter weighted by blocks of timber on the inside and is just slightly heavier than a single bird. Construction is 3/4'' ply with galvanized fixings and exterior paint stain. The inside has a plastic flap to prevent them flying back out however a normal wooden dowel system would also work.
