How EXACTLY does the hurdy gurdy work?

Hey folks! This video is for all the people that wonder how exactly the gurdy works. The instrument has its roots in the medieval times. It works like a mechanical violin with a wheel bow, that can play bass, melody and rhythm all at once. My gurdy was built by Walter Simons (GER) and costs around 5,000 euros. Want more?
