Separating wishbone from balljoint - the wrong way

I was changing the spring, the plan was to remove the strut, by taking off the clamp bolt, but after removing it and spreading the clamp open, the strut still wouldn't come out of the hub. At this point i decided to take off the whole hub with the strut on it. This meant undoing the lower balljoint and removing the wishbone I supported the hub with a jack, then used a long bar to lever off the wishbone. The wishbone did indeed get separated from the balljoint. However the first mistake was not remov
