jQueryUI datepicker: erase date

Solution to this problem using FoxInCloud: http://www.west-wind.com/wwThreads/Sh... I have discovered that the Jquery datepickers does not allow the user to "blank out" or delete the date that is displayed and is the current value. You can start empty, but never go back. I found many threads on forums complaining about this and suggesting workarounds or having a separate "clear date" button. Any better ideas?
