NIWeek 2017: Hardware in the Loop Test Solution ECU HIL Demo

The HIL ECU demo is used to verify the Embedded code in the ECU, where the PXI and the RIO chassis uses Engine and Car mathematical models to represent the car and the High-Speed FPGA of the cRIO Chassis is used to simulate the high-speed engine signals (Crank and Cam Sensors). We can drive the car virtually to set up different driving profiles, view and log the responses of the ECU to validate it’s code.
