This video shows how much faster VMware Player 5.0.0 is compared to VirtualBox 4.2. I used Linux Mint 12 (Oneiric based) as a host - Intel Core2 Duo P8700 2,53GHz, 4 GByte RAM. I started Ubuntu 12.10 Beta and Sabayon Linux 10 Xfce with similar settings in VirtualBox 4.2 and VMware Player 5.0.0 (no guest extensions installed - Live-DVDs).
