Solar Impulse flies the first leg from Abu Dhabi to Oman

The Solar Impulse 2 plane has completed the first leg of its round-the-world flight powered exclusively by the sun. The journey from Abu Dhabi to Oman was delayed by adverse weather conditions, but in the end it completed the 500km trip safely and successfully, to where a Solar Impulse team, including ABB engineers, was waiting to debrief the lone pilot.
