Afushteh Village in Natanz

The name of the historical area of Afoushteh comes from the Old Persian word of Afoushta , meaning the sun and Oushta meaning the highest point of an area. It literally means the highest point of an area where the sun shines. Afushteh has been used as a sort of summer resort area, where numerous palaces have been built since old ages.
