Organic Condensation Polymers 1. Polyesters

This video provides an animated explanation of the formation of polyesters from dicarboxylic acids and diols. The process is known as condensation polymerisation - forming water molecules together with polyester molecules. In accompanying videos I look at the formation of terylene and at polyamides, including nylon.
