City Boundary Coordination Project

7. The emergence of Coronavirus pandemic in the world accompanying with imposed sanctions against Iran the city boundary of Mashhad has faced fundamental problems such as migration, poverty and the high rate of urbanization. According to a study in 2019, more than 180000 population and 128 villages in the outskirt of Mashhad sprawled. As a result, we have designed a set of action plans to integrate both rural/urban (rurban) together to improve the quality of life and bridge these gaps by participation process. To reach the UNSDG goals, the (City Boundary Coordination Project) as a facilitator was formalized in 2019 to conduct an integrated plan in terms of SDG. The role of (CBCP) is to collaborate and mediate with all stakeholders and enable village residents to access services, good transportation and finally, educate local communities to raise their awareness in terms of some unprecedented problems like fighting against the COVID19.
