RB 252 - Aerobic Digester

* Introduction * The Aerobic digester is a device for simulation of activated sludge process which is widely used in water treatment plants. The process is involved with using aerobic micro organisms for degradation of water impurities in presence of air. Aeration is achieved via a air compressor and adjustable air rotamter. Utilizing a heater, the effect of temperature on the process can also be observed. A stirrer mechanism is also employed for better mixing .
