boiling water in vacuum

This video demonstrates the method of boiling a liquid by reducing the local pressure to match the vapor pressure of the liquid. In the video, a beaker of water has been placed inside a vacuum chamber and the vacuum pump is started. Slowly the vapor boils start to form, which leads to a fairly violent boiling process. At the end it is clear that no heat was added to trigger boiling as the entire mass freezes.
