Timelapse of cutting a butterfly joint

So I'm pretty new to these joints, I put 4 on this Black Walnut table, with the butterflys being made of spalted maple. Some of the grains were a little punky, but it turned out fine. I cut the butterflys out of bandsaw and finished them with a coarse file and a random orbital. I like to bevel mine in a few degrees over the whole height of the joint, this helps get a nice tight fit. Joint before I hammer it in and am happy with the fit, I give a little tiny chamfer to help get it started. Yes I left
