Mica Pyrite Capacitor

Here I demonstrate how to make a capacitor with Mica Dielectric, pyrite and aluminium. Using salt water as electrolyte. Then lighting a led. Standing voltage is about one volt per cell but here I demonstrate how the cells can take a charge. I have actually had each cell holding 2 volts. Mica has a very high breakdown voltage of several hundred volts so is excellent in fast charging capacitors. It is also hugely resistant to extremes of temperature and ph levels.
