Egypt Air Flight 990 Nightmare

October 31, 1999. Radar documented an Egypt Airlines 767-300ER registered SU-GAP departed from level flight at an altitude of 33,000 feet, descended to around 16,000 feet, climbed back to 25,000 feet and finally plunged into the Atlantic Ocean. Data on the FDR and CVR would show what happened after SU-GAP began its first dive that no matter how prepared the captain was to handle any technical issues, it's impossible to anticipate all possible emergencies.
