Russia: Russia’s new hypersonic Sarmat ICBM undergoes test launch

The second in a series of planned missile tests of Russia's new hypersonic Sarmat heavy ICBM was carried out at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Arkhangelsk region on Friday, the Russian Defence Ministry announced. This test was said to be a success, confirming the characteristics of the missile system during launch preparations and in the initial stages of flight.
