bis(2,dimethylaminoethyl)ether BDMAEE

Bis(dimethylaminoethyl) ether is a tertiary amine that primarily promotes the urea (water-isocyanate) reaction in flexible and rigid polyurethane foams. Bis(dimethylaminoethyl) ether can be used in all types of foam formulations. The strong catalytic effect on the blowing reaction can be balanced by the addition of a strong gelling catalyst. If amine emissions are a concern, low-emission alternatives are available for many end-use applications. A-1 catalyst is a catalyst formulated with 70% bis(dimethylamino ethyl) ether and 30% propylene glycol monomethyl ether (DPG) in mass fraction.
