You can lift rice in a very ingenious way. Fill a glass bottle to the top with rice. Push the blade of a long screwdriver in the rice. Remove the screwdriver and repeat this action a few more times. This will bring the grains of rice together. The rice grains will now press hard on the screwdriver blade.
