1/2 inch bore high pressure 600 psi air cannon spud gun

This is a dry firing (no slug) of my 1/2 inch, .60 caliber air cannon at 600 psi. It is being charged by a two stage compressor consisting of a basic small shop compressor feeding a 75 psi precharge into a standard refrigerator compressor. This setup is capable of over 800 psi! Watch how much recoil the cannon gives and, remember, it is only firing air. The cannon weighs 8 pounds and firing air only, it kicks back quite hard. The video does not do the sound justice. This thing is actually really LOUD!
