"Porphyria's Lover" by Robert Browning (read by Tom O'Bedlam)

This poem was written before psychiatry was invented. Artists of the time, esp. the Pre-Raphaelites, often took their subjects from poems but it seems that nobody would touch this one. The paintings are by Sophie Anderson from about the same time, depicting contemporary standards of female beauty.
