Note that the term cousin is often used as a general reference for any extended relative whom youre not closely related to. Additional names of relatives that may be useful to introduce to students: great-grandmother (your parents grandmother); second cousin (your parents cousins child); third cousin (your parents second cousins child); first cousin once removed (your cousins child)
