Difference between ISO and CSO - ISO VS CSO

Difference between the iso and cso? nba k can somebody tell me what is the difference of the iso file and the cso file of the nba k on psp. Cso is just a converted and compressed version of iso, there is nothing removed, but some games can work nba k mavericks vs , just curious about the iso and cso thing.
