EQ stands for emotional quotient, which is a score from a test that measures our ability to relate to and share emotions with others. As opposed to an IQ test, which measures logical reasoning, EQ tests measure our ability to consider and react to people’s feelings. The term self-awareness refers to a person’s ability to evaluate their own actions and motivations. Someone who is self-aware has a good understanding of their own emotions and character, and how it affects their decisions and their reactions. An IQ test is an exam that measures intelligence quotient, or a person’s ability to reason. The test asks a series of questions that require logical thinking to solve.
