Peruvian Aircraft Catches Fire on Crash Landing

Occurred on March 28, 2017 / Jauja, Peru A flight from Lima, Peru ended with a crash landing in the town of Jauja. The plane carrying 141 people crashed and caught fire upon landing. After sustaining a broke wing, the aircraft veered off the runway and burst into flames. Witnesses say the incident is being attributed to a loss of control due to high winds and the possibility of a tire exploding on landing. However, Peruvian officials are reporting the fire was caused when the broken wing scraped the runway
