Min Yoon-gi was born on March 9, 1993, in Diego, South Korea. He has an older brother. He attended Taojun Elementary School, Guanim Middle School and Apgujong High School. After hearing "Muffin Reggae" from Estonia Skunk, he became interested in rap and, in his own words, it was the most different thing he had ever heard. After getting acquainted with epic songs, he decided to rap. At the age of 13, he began writing music and learning midi. At the age of 17, he had a part-time job in a recording studio. From then on, he began composing, arranging music, singing and performing. Prior to joining Big Heat, he worked as an underground rapper under the name Glass. In 2010, as a member of the hip-hop band De Town, he produced "052-518" in commemoration of the Guangzhou Uprising.
