Penan thatching with palm leaves - Borneo

Pen (Stanley/Pencil) a local Penan man from Long Main - Sarawak, Borneo; showing us how to weave together the leaves of a palm tree to make roofing or an umbrella! The stick he is using to fix the leaves together is from the stalk of the leaf itself, he used his machete and pisau (small side knife) to split it into a thin strand. its very tough but flexible.
