even the prophet is to answer us from abrazakh we cannot hear it because we do not have other spiritual ears open
the one in barzakh if he wants to speak in a sense you can hear, should be in a physical body which is not available there. so not hearing them does not mean they do not hear and answer us. As the hadiths said the prophet and imams hear your salams
Allah gives sakinah and iman through the prophet and it could be the response of the prophet
Ibrahim wanted to learn how Allah revives the dead
Barzakh surrounds us so in barzakh they sea and hear us
