How to replace the driveshaft gearbox oil seal and how to top up the gearbox gear oil The seal was £5.99 and the gear oil was £6.99 both delivered free from Ebay The gearbox on this 307 1.6 hdi holds around 2 litres of gear oil.. you do not have to buy new gear oil as the old oil you have drained out can be used again..just use new oil to top up The job took around 2 hours and no special tools were needed.. so it's a suitable job to be done by a DIY mechanic
