Forward osmosis-driven up-concentration of contaminated waste water

In this application a high-osmolarity draw solution, such as brine or seawater (right; seawater from Øresund, the green particles are algae) -- combined with the 1st generation Aquaporin Inside™ membrane - is used to up-concentrate contaminated waste water (left; brown liquid = model waste water) in a forward osmosis process.
