Morsi’s new appointments, removals stun many

In a move that stunned many, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi ordered that Field Marshall Tantawi and Chief of Armed forces Staff Sami Anan retire. He also appointed Abdel Fatah el Sisi as the new Minister in Defense in place of the sacked Marshall; however, both Tantawi and Anan were appointed as President's advisors.
