Can Stepcraft CNC Systems Cut and Mill Aluminum? YES it can!

This is .125" 6061 T6 Aluminum that was machined on a STEPCRAFT-2/600 using a Kress 800W spindle. It was cut with a .125", single flute end mill moving at 15 mm/sec with a .020" depth per pass at 15,000 rpm. The corners were made tighter by switching to a .0625" 2-flute end mill making a inside the line profile cut with the same speeds and feeds as the .125" end mill. The final cutout was back to the .125" end mill but the feed rate was reduced to 10 mm/sec. The secret to
