Ahlul Bayt Denied they can Grant Sustenance - Misusing Hadith to Misguide

eSHIA - Sh. Agha Mohammadi There is a hadith in which the Ahlul Bayt (‘a) deny that they can create or provide sustenance and they quote the Holy Qur’an to prove that this is in Allah’s domain. The short hadith is discussed, including the verses it contains. This hadith is often (mis)used to prove that the Ahlulbayt denied they had powers - therefore, how can we do istigatha to them? However, upon discussion, you will realize that the Ahlulbayt were talking about the Mufawidha, who were a branch of ghulat and one cannot use this hadith to disprove Istigatha.
