Development of the NASA space shuttle during the early to mid 1970's. Focuses on the Rockwell International Space Division and its role as the prime contractor for the orbiter vehicles. At the time of the films production the shuttle "Enterprise" had not yet flown its tests, and NASA still hoped to launch the orbiters first space mission in 1979. .
