7. Maxsurf Motions module

The Maxsurf Motions module allows naval architects to predict the motions of a vessel, using a strip theory method validated against tank testing and full scale trials. We input the model, headings and speeds, sea states, and identify remote locations to review the motions. The Motions module then outputs predictions for motion sickness index, deck wetness, slamming, propeller emergence, and catamaran roll. We then animate our vessel in an irregular sea state.
