Mount Damavand, Iran's highest peak
Mount Damavand, Iran's highest peak is a dormant volcano, it is located in the middle Alborz Range. The mountain has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. It is located near the southern coast of the Caspian Sea, in Āmol, 66 kilometers northeast of Tehran, the mountain is 5,671 meters high.
