Universal Hobson’s joint

Each angular bar of an ordinary Hobson’s joint is divided into two parts that are connected together by a revolute joint. Input: red shaft. Output: yellow shaft The angle between the two shafts can be varied during transmission. It is a constant velocity joint. The mechanism has an unstable position when the input and output shafts are in line.
