Choghazanbil Ziggurat

Chogha zanbil ziggurat is a pyramidal structure located in an immense plateau near the city of Shoosh in Khuzestan Province in southwestern Iran. It’s an ancient temple which was once one of the most sacred sites for the Elamites. The structure is in the form of an upside down basket and that’s why the locals used to call it Choghazanbil meaning a basket-shaped hill.
